I just found this website from the story on KTVU.com today. Wow and thank you is all I can say!! My brother was diagnosed with this strain of cancer in 2010 – he lost his battle in December of 2011. He fought with everything he had until the day he died – he was 46. I have wanted to do something to spread the word about this vicious strain and haven’t been able to do anything more than to tell everyone I meet to get their kids vaccinated. I am so very excited to see this site you created! My brother left behind a family that loves him and countless friends that miss him everyday! I am glad to hear your husband’s prognosis is good – I will keep him in my prayers! I would love to get involved with this!

My husband was diagnosed on Fri Nov 13, 2015 with HPV related tongue and throat cancer T 3, N 1. ENT reports the cancer in his tongue is too involved to be surgically dissected. How would you suggest finding an Oncologist in Knoxville TN (or the surrounding area) that is experienced in treating HPV related oral cancer?

Hello Pam- I am so very grateful for your website. I had the wonderful opportunity of speaking with Dr Pai this week concerning my husbands new diagnosis. I have so many questions about HPV… being my husbands partner of 32 years do I need to get checked ? Oral and vaginally? I have had regular Pap smears and only had 1 questionable result 31 years ago and nothing since. Watching the video you have posted of Dr Pai reporting that its often persistent infection that results in CA alarmed me.
Also any suggestions of people to contact as we are going through this ? My husband has already lost 20 lbs from the pain of the cancer and the biopsies so the 1000 calorie shake was a welcomed sight to see. I would appreciate any guidance you can provide! Thank you again for all you do.

I am looking for patients who have used Erbitux with radiation. I see that most people have used Cisplatin but my husbands ONC has recommended Erbitux. Can some one give me some feed back?
